Thomas Ford, or better known as Tom Ford, was born on August 27, 1961 in Austin, Texas, and is considered to be one of the most renowned American designers of present times. Tom discovered his love for the world of fashion almost by chance, when he worked at Chloé’s press office in Paris. Although his work hardly had anything to do with designing, it was this association that made him sure of what profession he wanted to follow. Subsequently, Ford worked under American designer ‘Cathy Hardwick’ for a period of two years, after which he decided to shift to the European fashion scene.
